Things to Do in the Region

Attractions and Experiences in the Area

Nature and outdoor activities are among the top attractions for many of our guests, but the area also offers exciting cultural and culinary experiences. We highly recommend visiting some of the cafes and restaurants on Tromøy. A day trip to Merdø is also a great option, with several daily departures from Arendal to this charming island. Merdø, a historic harbor from the age of sailing ships, is partly included in Raet National Park.

Sandaa is ideally located for exploring Tromøy and is also a short distance from the center of Arendal, with all the city has to offer. Here are some suggestions for activities to enjoy during your stay at Sandaa
